The Elsa Wurster Memorial Foundation was created to honor the life and legacy of Elsa Wurster — a devoted wife, mother, designer, and proud immigrant whose strength, compassion, and pursuit of learning touched all who knew her. Elsa believed deeply in the power of education and opportunity, especially for those from underrepresented and underserved communities.
Founded by her loving husband Barry Wurster and their daughters, the foundation provides scholarships and funding for minority students pursuing post-secondary education and skilled trade apprenticeships. Whether through college degrees or hands-on career pathways, we are committed to supporting the next generation as they build meaningful, empowered lives.
Every scholarship awarded is a tribute to Elsa’s belief in lifelong learning, hard work, and the beauty of chasing your dreams.
